Troubleshooting

The app cannot find the detector

1. Confirm the detector is turned on.
2. Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
3. Force-close the TreasureHunter3D Visualizer app and relaunch it.
4. Power off the detector, wait 5 seconds, then power it back on.
5. On Android: go to Settings → Apps → TreasureHunter3D Visualizer and confirm that the Location permission is granted (required for Bluetooth scanning on Android).

Bluetooth drops out during scanning

• Keep the smartphone and detector within 10 m of each other.
• Avoid scanning near other active Bluetooth devices that may cause interference.
• Re-pair by restarting the detector and relaunching the app.

A scan mode is not available in the app

Mode	Minimum requirement
Basic 3D scan	Any supported model
Advanced 3D scan	GoldenEye or GoldenEye Plus
Professional 3D scan	GoldenEye Plus + iPhone 6S or later + iOS 11 or later
AR overlay	GoldenEye Plus

Check that your detector model supports the scan mode, and that your smartphone meets the stated requirements.

The scan area looks wrong or distorted

• Hold the detector level during scanning — tilt causes distortion in the 3D map.
• Walk at a consistent pace and in straight parallel lines.
• Ensure GPS is enabled on your smartphone if prompted.
• Try reducing the scan resolution if the map is slow to update.

TreasureLight is not detected by the app

1. Confirm TreasureLight is charged.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Open the TreasureHunter3D Visualizer app and select TreasureLight as the device.
4. The LED on TreasureLight should blink while searching for a connection.

The app crashes or freezes during scanning

• Ensure your smartphone has at least 500 MB of free storage.
• Close all other apps running in the background.
• Update the TreasureHunter3D Visualizer app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
• Restart your smartphone.
