Advanced Mode
Advanced mode is available on GoldenEye and GoldenEye Plus. It adds two features on top of Basic mode: camera photo tagging and the Position Indicator.
Additional Features
Camera Tagging
At any point during a scan, tap the camera button in the app to capture a photo. The photo is tagged with the current GPS position and signal value, creating a visual record of what the terrain looks like at each point of interest.
Tagged photos are saved with the scan and can be reviewed in Stored Scans.
Position Indicator
The Position Indicator is a visual guide that tells you where to step next as you record scan lines, so your lines stay evenly spaced without needing to measure manually.
See Position Indicator for full details.
Running an Advanced Scan
The scan procedure is the same as Basic Mode, with these additions:
- Use the Position Indicator to guide your line spacing.
- Tap the camera button whenever you want to tag a location with a photo.
Camera tagging is especially useful when you find a strong signal peak — photograph the ground surface so you can return to the exact spot later.
