Using Without the Smartphone App

For basic detecting, GoldHunter can be used without the smartphone application. All physical controls on the smart control unit work the same way.

When used without the app:

• Short press the Power button to switch between Discrimination mode and All-Metal mode.
• All knobs (Gain, Threshold) and buttons (volume, discrimination/ground balance, pin-point/GG) function normally.
• Audio alerts are output through the internal speaker or headphones.

The 3D Ground Scan mode and Target ID display require the smartphone app and cannot be used without it.
