GoldHunter Quick Start — Start Detecting in Minutes

This guide gets you detecting in four steps using Discrimination mode — the recommended starting point for new users.

Step 1 — Select Discriminator Mode

Open the GoldHunter app and tap Discriminator from the main menu.

Step 2 — Set Sensitivity

Turn the Sensitivity / Gain knob to the middle position (12:00).

This is a safe starting point. You can increase sensitivity later once you are familiar with the detector's behaviour in your local ground conditions.

Step 3 — Set Volume

Set volume to 50% using the volume buttons on the smart control unit.

Step 4 — Test with the Included Sample

Move the included test sample above the searchcoil.

• The gold icon in the app should highlight.
• You should hear a detection tone from the speaker.

If both happen, the detector is working correctly and ready for use in the field.

tip

Once you are comfortable with Discrimination mode, try All-Metal mode for deeper detection and better performance in mineralized soil.
